“To The Deep” is a narrative NYU thesis film currently in post-production. The short film was directed by Alex Lycette and produced by Roman Amento, Chloe Rahal, and Mikah Massman-Johnson. The story follows two prisoners on a pirate ship who must work together to escape. The film was shot on the ARRICAM ST on Kodak Vision3 500T film stock, with additional pickups on the ARRI Alexa Mini. The production also included building a pirate ship set in a barn in Coopersburg, Pennsylvania. Jake Shoop served as the Director of Photography and Liam Podos served as the Gaffer. The film is being colored by Muhil Vaseekaran, a task which involves carefully matching the film and digital mediums.
