STICK UP

“STICK UP” is a short film directed by Muhil Vaseekaran, written by Nate Milchan, and produced by Western Star Entertainment Group with equipment serviced entirely by Trustfall Studios. The film’s logline is as follows: “In the closing hours of a quiet bar, a chance encounter between a bartender and an old acquaintance turned would-be robber takes a shocking turn, leading to a deadly confrontation that reveals long-held grudges and secrets.” Taking place in a single location, the film’s strengths lie the performances and how the framing and camera work heighten them. The film is shot by Samuel Mitchell who strategically worked with the practical lighting within the space to create the grounded look for the film. The film looks to make a festival run this winter.
