DIE BY THE SHTICK
“Die By The Shtick” is a dramedy following a young man putting together a Christmas-themed shiva for his recently-deceased twin brother. The film draws heavy inspiration from FX’s “The Bear” in its use of claustrophobic and anxiety-inducing handheld takes, though it incorporates a zoom lens motif. The film was shot in April, 2024 in Long Island by a predominantly-Jewish crew. The film marks the second collaboration between Writer/Director Justin Scolnick and Director of Photography Liam Podos. Jake Shoop was the Key Grip for the first day of production. The film is currently in post-production and is eyeing a 2025 festival run.
